EXTRA ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Invented, developed and used a working 2 x 4 Expander-Contractor for construction purposes. Device uses a 1 1/2" leadscrew driving 2 welded U shaped sheet metal brackets for cut wood 2 x 4 studs and braces.

Invented, and marketed a Storage Cover to securely enclose and lock the storage space behind the seats of 1968 to 1977 T-Top Chevrolet Corvettes. Device used gloss black 16 gauge sheet metal attached with hinges using existing vehicle screws.

Rebuilt an existing 1 car garage into a 2 car 2 story garage and with a space saving custom staircase that widens upward.

Designed and Built a solid oak spiral staircase and a solid pine spiral staircase with railings to expand 2 apartments into the attic.

Designed and Built an 11 foot x 12 foot deck 10 feet above the ground. Cut wall and installed doorway.

Designed and built a 10 foot x 15 foot deck with built in jaccuzzi hot tub hidden under a trap door.

Installed conduit, wiring, outlets and switches for basement duplex.

Installed copper piping and fixtures to code to plumb a new bathroom.

Installed a 100btu furnace with hidden ductwork.

Troubleshooted and replaced or rebuilt engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, bearings, springs, steering, cylinder heads, drive shafts, etc on Corvettes and Triumph TR7 sports cars.

Was founder, lead singer and song writer of the "Typical Band" and "Contents Under Pressure" new wave rock bands
1980-82.

As Founder and Manager; developed websites and company systems, managed employees and grew company international metalworking machinery sales from zero to millions per year. Vendor to thousands of small companies, schools, Fortune 500 Companies and all branches of the US Military. Developed proprietary line of portable boring machines.

Developer of Fabricator Market.com, an industrial Request for Quotes emarketplace for fabricators to quote AutoCAD drawings for engineers.

Jan, 2001 to June, 2001: New Machinery Sales for MachineTools.com

Developed and managed sales to international machinery builders of customized Request for Quote storefronts, banner ads and custom websites.
Assisted in brainstorming improvements, customer acquisition methods, customer incentive features, analysis and troubleshooting of website functionalities, and development of new revenue streams.
Took own intiative to design, build and host a sample machinery distributor website to launch a new business line.
Managed website storefronts and sales prospect databases.
Suggested and implemented in-house banner design program that included the design of 49 banner ads to promote commission based machine sales.
Suggested and implemented alternative metric machinery specifications.
Developed plans and contacts for company to become online distributor of fabrication machiney.

Jan, 1997 to Jan, 2001: Manufacturing Engineer for Tempel Steel Co.

Design, checking, purchase and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment for high speed punch presses and notching presses, in the manufacture of metal electric motor laminations for the largest U.S. producer.
Design and purchasing includes bolster plates, subplates, QC gages and fixtures, sheet metal parts, OSHA compliant safety guards, Quick Die Change tooling, stacking chutes and innovative parts handling equipment for high speed motor lamination dies.
Designed unusual linear notching system for wound generator cores.
Designed a rotating angular stator catching device for large stator laminations exiting a punch press at 80spm.
Invented a horizontal intermittenly supported catching device for stators exiting a punch press.
Used AutoCAD and Unigraphics CAD Software for designs and Excel for repetitive die position calculations.

March 1993 to Jan. 1997: Design Engineer PreFinish Metals/Material Sciences

Design, checking, purchase, installation, and troubleshooting of sheet metal coil coating and laminating machinery and related equipment, including; high tension rolls, motorized bridles with speed reducers, pinch roll stands, motor driven film rewinders, air knives, carry over tables, platforms with railings, tanks, high tension concrete anchor frames, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, and OSHA compliant safety guards.
Designed pneumatic and hydraulic systems to operate air and hydraulic cylinders, air motors, clutches, and brakes.
Deeply involved in the construction of their new $.75 million Line 17 dual coil laminating line and their $30 million Line 18 coil coating facility in Elk Grove, Illinois. Purchased all the Line 18's rolls and managed 2 coater rebuildings. Was official photographer of project.
Checked equipment alignments with a theodilite transit.
Designed space saving legless hanging platform and an unusual expanding carry-over table.
Supervised maintenance personnel and millwrights in the construction and assembly of new and rebuilt coil coating machinery lines.
Won Beacon of Quality award in 1995.
Used AutoCAD and Computervision Personal Designer Software for designs.

1980 to 1993: Mechanical Designer and V. P. of Sales DesJardins Engineering, Inc.

V.P. of Sales(1988-92) plus engineering, design, checking and drafting for 25 person family owned consulting and contract engineering company specializing in machine design, product design, prototype building, and product liability analysis.
Machinery designs included; Plant layout, pick and place, printing, soap making, paper shredding, tape splitting, material handling, robot amunition loading, concrete surface remover, food packaging and handling.
Product designs included; Transmission housings, check signing and imprinting, coin handling, vaccuum cleaner housing, bicycle gear shifters, drive through windows, and a rocking/reclinable wheel chair.
Took own intiative to fabricate a full size working wooden model to prove a parts magazine design concept.
Revenue consisted of in-office engineering projects and outside placements of consultants.
Used AutoCAD Software and drawing board for designs.
Company was sold to Murray, Inc to finance founder's retirement.
